A Word From The WhatsHalal Team
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
So, after months of intense preparation and building, we are about to release WhatsHalal to the public. But before that, we figured that this is a great opportunity to tell you about the team.
It’s not because we want to shine the spotlight on ourselves like we’re some celebrity genius Elon Musk-wannabe.
But because we want to show that, behind the little green icon that we created, are people who just have a little dream.
So Who Are We?
We are people who, for the past couple of months, have toiled hard through sweat, tears and pain because we believe in what we do. People who are individuals with families who wait for them as they work tirelessly through the nights trying to piece things together. We are fathers, brothers, sons and fellow Muslims who are seeking for improvements, not just for themselves, but also for the community of at large.
So what is it that will make us different? What is it that made us believe we can succeed? What made us believe we can compete with giants of the industry who have been in it longer and are far more experienced than us?
What made us think we are THAT good?
We can’t really answer all those questions. We humbly admit that we don’t know what the future may hold for WhatsHalal. But we know that there is one lesson that we should always hold firm: We have to strive. We strive to become better people, so that people can strive to build better communities.
Not Another “Delivery Service”
On the surface it may seem that we are trying to present a not-so-imaginative alternative to what already exist. But the truth is, we kept our message simplified so that there will be less anticipation of what is to come. Yes, we have more to offer. However, we rather not say further for now, because we can plan all we want, but He plans too, and He is the Best of Planners.
Earlier, we said that we are people with a little dream. But a dream cannot cross over to reality without a bridge. That bridge needs special materials: Support and encouragement.
So here’s our request. In the next few months as we make the bridge from dream to reality, we would like to ask for your support and encouragement. Big or small, they are still the material we need right now; resources that can help build our bridge faster and better. It will not be a smooth bridge at first. There may be times where we may fail to hold strong. But if we have enough support and encouragement, we would have enough material to recover ourselves.
For those who have already lend us their support, we give our thanks. Without your help we may not have gone as far or as fast as we had. It’s nice to be believed in. It’s what kept us awake at night just to push for things to happen.
So now here’s the real test of our mettle. Once the app is released we are anticipating challenges. Things may be shaky at first. We would like to apologise in advance for any issues you might face. You can be sure, though, that we will be working hard in the background to serve you in the best way possible.
Because part of our belief is to strive. And we will strive in the best way possible.
May Allah increase us all and give us baraqah in our rizq.
